Our second blog entry - New Year Beers
In 2010 I am going to have available 4 ales all year round. Gold 4.8%, Pheasant Plucker 4.3% abv, Crack Shot 3.8% and Half Bore 4%. On request I will brew Full Bore at 8% but I will need at least 3 weeks notice to get this brew out to you. If you go to the beers tab there are more info about these beers.
I have been busy producing ales for a couple of pubs that have requested there own ales. The Butchers Arms in Abbottskerswell have Butchers Best and it is going down a treat. This ale is 4% abv and was chosen by the punters from two different brews and the name was also chosen in a competition by the locals. Have a look at their web site. http://www.butchersarms-abbots.co.uk/
Denbury Dreamer is available at the Union Inn at Denbury, this ale is 4.1% and is doing very well in this lovely village pub. Have a look at their web site http://www.btinternet.com/~denbury/images/village/unioninn.html
Tho Old Rydon Inn at Kingsteignton has also got there own ale produced from Hunter's Brewery. The ale is called Rydon Ale and is 4.2%abv. This pub has truely fantastic food and I have never eaten a fish pie quite like it! Have a look at their web site. http://www.information-britain.co.uk/reviews.php?place=27160
The Albion Inn in Plymouth have the Albion Ale @ 4.8% abv and being so close the The Albion Rugby ground really does push this ale well. There is no web site available yet to look at but I would visit this pub for another reason. This pub offers the best Thai food I have ever tasted. The price list for the food is also low you can get a meal for two with a couple of pints each for about £20 bargain I would say.
